After extending Jio preview offer to JioFi 2 MiFi device purchases for HP India customers, the company has started selling MiFi devices over the counter for all subscribers, without an invite from its Reliance Digital stores across the country. Under the Jio Preview offer for HP customers, users were required to enter details about their HP laptop or desktop.

The company would then send an SMS to users with a unique referral coupon code, which they could take to any Reliance Digital or Reliance Digital Xpress Mini store and purchase the JioFi 2 device for Rs 2,899 reports TechPP.

Priced at Rs 2,899, one of the key highlights of the JioFi 2 MiFi hotspot device is that it supports 4G LTE network, allows you to connect up to 31 devices at the same time and boasts a battery that can last for up to six hours on full charge. But this time, anybody who wants to purchase a new MiFi device from Jio, can purchase it without any hassle. Though it's only available from few Reliance Digital / Digital Mini stores. Sharing further the details on the matter, Reliance Digital executives said 'Customers who would purchase the device wouldn't get Jio SIM with it, though they can claim it after 16th August'.

'However, unlike Samsung preview offer, those SIM cards would be locked to the MiFi devices' added another Reliance executive. But those who have already got unlocked Jio SIM cards can use the SIM in that JioFi device to enjoy unlimited benefits.

According to our sources, Jio will launch special MiFi plans along with 3 months unlimited benefits on August 15. The company may also unveil new products like JioTV and JioFiber for their customers soon.
