Xiaomi, yesterday revealed that they're going to launch a dual camera smartphone for the Indian market on September 5, along with a couple of hash tags- #XiaomiGlobalLaunch and #FlagshipDualCamera. Everyone's expecting the smartphone as the Xiaomi Mi 5X, or maybe the Android One version of the Mi 5X.
However, a new poster leak of the Mi Mix 2 raises several questions now. Yes, you heard it right, a poster of the Mi Mix 2 has leaked online suggesting imminent launch. However, we're not sure whether the company will launch the Mi Mix 2 on September 5. Earlier rumours suggested that the Mi Mix 2 will arrive on September 12, at an event in China.
But going by the hashtags used by the company, it is a little sceptic that the smartphone could be the Mi Mix 2. The Mi Mix 2 will arrive as a successor to the last year's Mi Mix smartphone, which is the major reason behind the bezel-less display craze going on currently.
The Mi Mix has an insane 91.3% screen-to-body ratio, and it was designed by Philippe Starck. Recently, the same designer revealed a video of the concept design of Mi Mix 2. And it's not surprising that the Mix 2's design is finalised by now. Another set of images of Mi Mix 2 were leaked as well, which supposedly has a similar design as the teaser video.
The rumoured specs of the Mi Mix 2, for now, suggest a 6.4-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The smartphone is expected to have Snapdragon 835 SoC under-the-hood, along with massive 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Mi Mix 2 will likely arrive in a 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage option as well.
Nevertheless, some rumours of the Mi Mix 2 suggested a single camera setup on the phone. And some cited at a powerful dual camera setup. As of now, there's no conclusive information on when Xiaomi is going to launch the Mi Mix 2, and what Xiaomi is going to launch on September 5 in India. We might get more info in coming days because the launch is just a week away from now. Stay tuned for more updates on what Xiaomi will be launching on September 5.
