Most of the HTC One M9 users have complained about the device’s lack of Lollipop-specific features even though it runs the Android 5.0 version. Unlike the major flagships such as Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the One M9 did not support the ‘Guest Mode’ feature until now.

Thankfully, HTC will soon be rolling out an update that would add all the Lollipop features to the device, it will most likely be the Android 5.1 update. In accordance with HTC’s ROM developer LlabTooFeR, the forthcoming update will bring an array of features to the device, such as functionality to control the phone’s display color temperature (until now it was only possible through third-party apps).
There is no set timeline given by HTC for the update roll-out, however, we can expect to reach us in few months from now or may be earlier.
