BSNL has started off an e-auction of fancy and vanity mobile numbers from today in Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Up West and East, Uttaranchal. The auction will be conducted through the online portal and the available numbers range from identical last five digits to identically paired digits.

Customers can participate in the auction either through web or SMS. The entire process, right from registration of the numbers, seems to be simple and hassle free.

The demand for fancy numbers has reached an all-time high with consumers locking horns for the numbers of their choice. This e-auction will be a good way to curb the black marketers who make an easy buck by selling the fancy numbers. This indeed is a good move by the state owned telecom, which is being revamped. Check out the sample list below and start bidding right away.
