Asus Zenfone Live L1 Launched With Snapdragon 425 SoC and Android Oreo

Asus has now announced the successor to the Asus Zenfone Live smartphone, the Asus Zenfone Live L1. The Taiwanese company has added some major upgrades to the second generation handset including an 18:9 display on the front and a 3000mAh battery under the hood. The Zenfone Live L1 has been launched in the Philippines, but there are very high chances of Asus launching it in the Indian market too at an aggressive price. The Asus Zenfone Live L1 boasts polycarbonate body and comes in Space Blue, Rose Pink, Shimmer Gold, and Midnight Black colour options. Asus has been very aggressive with its pricing strategy in 2018, and the same continues with the Zenfone Live L1 because it retails for PHP 5,995 (approx. Rs 7,600). But the Indian price of the smartphone is expected to be lower than the price in the Philippines.

As mentioned above, Asus has made some major upgrades to the compared to the Zenfone Live. The Zenfone Live L1 rocks a 5.5-inch display on the front with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The design of the handset hasn't changed much when compared to its predecessor, but from the front, the phone looks a bit different because of the presence of the 18:9 display. Under the hood, the phone has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, clubbed with 1GB/2GB of RAM. The price mentioned above is for the 2GB RAM variant with 16GB of internal storage. Asus is yet to reveal the price of 1GB RAM/8GB onboard storage variant.

The phone also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 2TB. Graphics in the device will be taken care of by the Adreno 308 GPU. Cameras on the Zenfone Live L1 include a 13MP shooter on the rear with PDAF and LED flash. Up front, there's a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and a micro USB port. The Zenfone Live L1 lacks a fingerprint scanner, but it comes with the trendy Face Unlock functionality. The handset boots Android Oreo-based ZenUI 5.0 on top. Lastly, this phone is backed by a 300mAh battery. There's no info from Asus India when the phone will be launched in the sub-continent.
