Bharti Airtel announced that it has completed the deployment of additional spectrum acquired in July 2024, turbocharging its network in Uttar Pradesh (West) and Uttarakhand. The operator has deployed additional spectrum across all 40 districts in the state, enabling customers to enjoy enhanced browsing speeds and better indoor coverage, the official release said.

Improved 5G and 4G Network Capacities
Airtel said it has added an additional 5 MHz on the 2100 band, which will boost Airtel's 5G and 4G network capacities, improving data speeds and providing significantly better coverage inside homes and buildings in both urban and rural areas.
With the deployment now complete, customers in Agra, Aligarh, Meerut, Bareilly, Moradabad, Dehradun, and other locations will enjoy an elevated quality of service for both voice and data, Airtel said on Friday.

Enhanced Service Quality for Customers
Commenting on the deployment, Bharti Airtel said, "With the integration of this new spectrum, customers across the state can now enjoy enhanced call connectivity, faster data speeds and an overall improved performance. We remain committed to Uttar Pradesh (West)-Uttarakhand and will continue to invest in technologies that will help elevate service experience for our customers."
The deployment will also allow Airtel to offer wider coverage along highways and rail routes, as well as increase its footprint in rural areas, as the demand for connectivity continues to rise exponentially, Airtel said.

Airtel's Spectrum Holdings
Notably, Airtel secured 97 MHz of spectrum in the recently concluded spectrum auction. With spectrum holdings across the 900, 1800, 2100, 2300, 3500 MHz, and 26 GHz bands, the company says that it is well-positioned to meet the growing demand for high-speed data services with its 4G and 5G networks.
