Transforming Indian Offline Retail and Customer Engagement Using AI

Earlier this year, Airtel announced that it is shutting down its audio/music streaming platform Wynk. As an alternative, Airtel will offer Apple Music to the eligible customers. Apple Music is a global OTT (over-the-top) platform for streaming music and podcasts. However, it is not a free platform. So intially, it will be offered for free to the eligible Airtel customers. After that, the customers would need to pay for it.

Airtel has confirmed that eligible customers will get Apple Music free for six months. If the customer has already claimed the free months offer from Apple, then that period would be deducted from the six months. For example, if the user has already claimed two months of free service from Apple, then that user will be eligible to get 3 months of free subscription from Airtel for Apple Music.
To claim the offer from Airtel, users need to head to the Airtel Thanks app and click on the Apple Music banner. This offer is valid for both Android and iOS users. For both prepaid customers and postpaid customers, the terms and conditions are mostly the same. However, for postpaid customers, while claiming the free months offer, users will have to give consent for Apple Music “Add to Bill” at Rs 99 after the end of the free period.
