Aircel shows a friendly gesture to it’s Chennai users for its Network outage on Dec 26, Offers Free SMS

Not only the bad, even the mi-nute of the good things should be highlighted and with that responsibility and response to the feedback received from our Readers we just wanted to highlight a nice gesture from Aircel Chennai.

It happened that on 26th December Aircel's Chennai network was affected for more than 2 hours due to a technical glitch from Operator's end. All Voice & Data services were affected and users faced many problems.

Aircel's statement said:

“Aircel network was interrupted for two hours. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to our customers. This was due to a technical snag which has been addressed promptly and all services have been restored completely.”

Though, the issue what Aircel Chennai customers faced on 26th December was bad which not only degrades the faith and reliability on them from customer's perspective,  Aircel could have simply apologized and sent an sms for the same and left the issue.But it has not done so, in-spite showed a friendly gesture and offered 100 free local sms on 1st Jan 2014 for it's customers in Chennai.This shows Aircel wanted to show their customers that they care for them.Though users are using sms or Whatsapp on Blackout days is a different scenario but the act which Aircel has showed really is appreciated by many users.

Dear Customer,

We deeply regret the inconvenience caused due to our service disruption on the 26th December 2013. As a token of our appreciation for your patronage and support, we would like to offer 100 free local SMS on the 1st of January 2014.
