One of the most popular music streaming apps in the world – Spotify – finally comes to India. The Spotify app is now available for download in Apple’s App Store, Google Play Store and also on Microsoft Store. The Spotify app is free to download for all Android, iPhone and Windows users. Currently, Spotify doesn’t allow you to go for any sort of subscription-based like Spotify Premium on Apple or Windows devices, but it does allow users to try out the free offering right now. This means that you can play any track you want in Spotify. At the time of writing this piece, we were able to download the Spotify app on both Android and iOS platforms. After downloading the app, Spotify will require you to login and post which the music streaming app will ask you to choose the kind of music you prefer so that the app can better recommend tracks based on its algorithms in the future.




Spotify Premium India Price and Other Details

The prices of Spotify premium have been revealed. For one month, Spotify requires you to pay Rs 119 which is on par with Apple Music. In addition, Spotify also allows you to buy the service on a daily basis, weekly basis, or even for three and six months. The one day plan costs Rs 13, for a week it costs Rs 39, for a month its costs Rs 129, for three months it is Rs 389, and for six months it is Rs 719. For a year Spotify wants the users to pay Rs 1,189. Spotify also comes with half-off Spotify student membership. There’s no Family subscription available on Spotify right now. None of the big music streaming apps like JioSaavn, Gaana, Google Play Music, or Amazon Music offers a family subscription plan apart from Apple Music.

How to Get Started With Spotify?

To log in to Spotify, you’ll first need to download the app on your smartphone be it Android, iOS or Windows and after which the app requires you to sign in with your personal details. Spotify requires you to enter your name, email ID, date of birth, select the kind of music you like – the language, among other things. Spotify already offers a vast range of languages like English, Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telegu Punjabi and others. Spotify also offers songs from different genres like pop, romance, party, hip-hop, R&B, K-pop, reggae, workout, chill, focus, sleep, summer, dinner, jazz, gaming, soul, classical, latin, metal, kids, blues, funk, punk, travel, comedy, country, and folk & acoustic among others. In addition, Spotify also offers access to podcasts to the users
