After sales service for smartphones isn't that great in India, which is the reason why the majority of users choose Samsung smartphones even though they're pricey, compared to the competition. Motorola, the Lenovo-subsidiary brand which has been silent for a couple of months in India today announced a new service camp named MotoPitstop. At the MotoPitstop service camp, the company will offer special service for the out-of-warranty smartphones on the May 12 and May 13 from 10 AM to 6 PM across all the Motorola exclusive service centres in Delhi-NCR region.

Rachna Lather, Marketing Head, Motorola Mobility India said, “We have always kept our customers as our the topmost priority, and thus we are introducing Motopitstop, a customer-centric initiative across all our exclusive service centres in Delhi NCR. Our aim is to ensure that every customer gets the best service support throughout the product life-cycle. And with this service camp initiative, we are sure to make the customer experience more superior and satisfactory. We are overwhelmed with a number of registrations we have received so far to avail this service, and we are sure this camp will be a huge success.”

Motorola has a total of 16 exclusive service centres spread across Delhi-NCR region. During the MotoPitstop service camp, Motorola will be offering the service within two hours, no labour charges for the service, handset upgrade offer subjected to the device's condition and the company will also be offering 10% discount on spare parts and accessories.

Motorola did not list which smartphones they will be serviced during the camp. But it seems like all the Motorola devices will be serviced as the company is just asking for the device model. This is first of its kind initiative from the brand and also it's innovatively engaging the consumers. Hopefully, the company expands the MotoPitstop program to other cities as well.

Motorola is expected to launch the Moto G6 and Moto E5 range of smartphones very soon in the Indian market and the top-level management of the company has been shuffled in recent times, which could probably be the delay of launch.
