Vodafone India, the country’s second largest telco, is rolling out the 5BARz Network Extender solution onto the Vodafone India network to improve indoor coverage. The telco has issued a follow on purchase order of 5BARz Network Extender to their initial purchase orders previously announced this past summer.
“We began working with Vodafone at the beginning of this year and have steadily worked through the steps necessary to begin commercial rollout and look forward to a successful, mutually beneficial relationship with Vodafone here in India,” Samartha Nagabhushanam, 5BARz India, CEO, said in a statement.
Vodafone India has recently launched its 4G services in Kerala, Over the last 18 months, the company has invested more than Rs 700 crores in Kerala towards network expansion and modernisation to build a technology and energy efficient network architecture to support the volumes and need for speed from customers. With one of the largest retail footprints in Kerala of 303 exclusive retail stores, Vodafone’s products and services are easily available across all parts of the state. Airtel is also investing Rs 60,000 crore in the next three years in its Project Leap, which has been designed to restructure its network and improve the quality of services.
The 5BARz Network Extender will provide an enhanced indoor user experience with mobile devices in network areas that have proven challenging in the past.
