Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launched in India, priced at Rs. 58,300

Samsung has officially announced their latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 4, in India. As we reported earlier, the device has comes with an MRP of Rs. 61,500 but the device will be sold at an MOP of Rs. 58,300 and will be available for purchase from the 17th of October. Also, we were true about Samsung launching the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy Note 4 in India.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910G) which has been announced for India features a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with S Pen, a 16-megapixel primary camera with 4K video recording, and a 3.7-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera. It is equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage space, and a microSD card slot.

When compared to last year's Galaxy Note 3, this year's flagship comes with additional features such as a fingerprint scanner, heart-rate monitor, UV sensor, SpO2 sensor, 4G LTE connectivity, and a larger 3,220 mAh battery. Yes, you read that right. The Galaxy Note 4 will be compatible with 4G LTE networks in India as it supports TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE.

The Galaxy Note 4 is priced at Rs. 58,300 when compared to the Galaxy Note 3 which was priced at Rs. 49,990. It competes with the LG G3, Sony Xperia Z3, Nokia Lumia 1520, and the Apple iPhone 6. Its closest competitors this festive season would be the Apple iPhone 6 priced at Rs. 53,500 and the Apple iPhone 6 Plus which will be sold at a starting price of Rs. 62,500.

All the Vodafone customers, who are currently not using any data pack, will get free 2GB of data for two months when they purchase the Galaxy Note 4. On the other hand, the Vodafone customers, who are already using a data pack, will get 1GB of free data for two months when they buy a Galaxy Note 4. These offers are valid till April 30, 2015.
