Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the state-run telecom operator, will offer free Wi-Fi services to passengers at the Adani Navi Mumbai airport. The Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIAL) has partnered with BSNL to deploy a digital passenger communication system. This will include free high-speed Wi-Fi for customers when the airport commences commercial operations this week on December 25, 2025.

BSNL has already started rolling out its 4G network, and this can be later upgraded to 5G via a firmware over-the-air (FOTA) deployment. This move to include BSNL in the airport aligns with the government’s Make in India vision. This is because BSNL is using technology provided by the indigenous tech players such as C-DoT (Center for Development of Telematics), TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), and Tejas Networks.
Passengers who want to connect to free Wi-Fi at the Navi Mumbai International Airport will need to download the Adani OneApp as a virtual assistant. This app will also offer users real-time flight updates, boarding gate information, schedules, and notifications directly on the phones of the users. Along with this, users will get information related to the nearby retail, food, and lounge facilities.

The Adani Group has a major stake in the new airport, and it can handle about 20 million passengers each year. The eventual goal of the company is to handle 90 million passengers and help with easing the crowd at the current Mumbai airport terminal 1 and 2. The airport is currently undergoing final checks to make sure all the digital services are working perfectly before the doors are open for passengers.
