Virgin Mobile (GSM) Says Hello at 40paisa, Launches Hello40.in

Virgin Mobile (GSM) Says Hello at 40paisa Launches Hello40.inVirgin Mobile India, the youth-targeted franchisee of Tata Teleservices as TTSL and Virgin Group has brand sharing agreement, has rolled out its All@40p/min offer for its GSM subscribers in all 16 circles it is present currently. Telecomtalk covered that story early in septemeber.

Now to promote this offer and add new GSM subscribers Virgin Mobile India launched a new trendy website – Hello40.in for online campaigning. The offer comes with First Recharge Coupon (FRC) of Rs 69 for new Virgin Mobile GSM subscribers.

Hello40 plan from Virgin Mobile (GSM) offers single flat call rate of 40paisa/minute for any call made within India. Not only that Virgin Mobile is also comes with super SMS plan with these plan – send first two local and national sms of the day at 50paisa and then you can send next 500 sms free for the day.

Apar from that you can enjoy getting paid 10p/min  for 1st 60 days after activation for all incoming calls other than incoming calls from Tata Indicom, Docomo & Virgin Mobile.

As Virgin Mobile, first launched on Tata Indicom’s CDMA network could not see success that it expected, is looking forward to make a bang on GSM platform with this plan.

Details of the pack:

FRC Rs 69
Call tariff: All local and STD 40p/min
Local and National SMS 250 Local SMS FREE after first two SMS @ 50p/sms DAILY.

250 National SMS FREE after first two SMS @ 50p/sms DAILY

INTERNATIONAL SMS Rs 5
Roaming (outgoing/incoming) 60p/min
Get Paid for Incoming 10p/min for 1st 60 days after activation, for all incoming calls other than incoming calls from Tata Indicom, Docomo & Virgin Mobile.
Any hidden charge/daily rental Absolutely NOT!!

Need Help, dial 6001-6666 [add STD code when dialing from mobile].

TelecomTalk’s Verdict: Though plan is exciting, daily SMS plan is not simple as Tata Docomo is offering. Most of users do not need 500 SMS(250 local + 250 national) per day at Rs 60 (0.50 x 4 x 30)per month. It would be better if they come with daily 100 -250 local and national SMS cap at Rs 30 (1st two at 50p and then free) that be best. It is a fact Tata Docomo attracts young people not only because of its per second tariff, but its daily flexible SMS plan also works for!

  • Raghav October 6, 2010 11:00 am

Whats the point of offering call rates @ 40p/min when the market has already moved to 1p/sec and even lower. Look at Uninor…they are offering upto 60% discount on their 1p/sec plans…too good!

Is aircel’s 1p/2sec 6 month pack still avilable in kolkata?

Now in Kolkata TATA indicom provide cheapest call charge for the person who call longer, they provide all local call @ rs.1/10min with daily rental rs.1. and mts provide 1000 free min @ rs.199. I would love to switch to TATA indicom or MTS after MNP.

I dont know why popular superstar Ranbir Kapoor agreed to become brandambasador of Virgin mobile. It does not suitable with Ranbir Kapoor’s image.
Plz Virgin mobile you should take a B grade actor to promote your brand.
I still have not see any one who use virgin mobile either in CDMA or in GSM.

Aircel is an older operator than Virgin GSM, It provide good network coverage than Virgin GSM. So, why should not we go for Aircel as it also provide same call charge with same validity at RC8. Even !dea also provide same call charge.
Every time virgin GSM become too late to launch any offer. It at first look at other new operators and see all new comer have launch it or not then get confidence launch any offer.
Dont worry virgin you always remain virgin.
