I THINK UNINOR WILL NOT SELL IT’S STAKE TO AIRTEL BECAUSE AIRTEL HAS FALLEN DOWN IN THE CIRCLES WHERE IT HAS GOT POPULARITY AND SOON I.E. IN 2020 SUNIL BHARTI MITTAL WILL LAY AN FISHMARKET IN DELHI

Sirf Low prices hi customers ko attract nahi karti… Quality & services bhi honi chahiye na.. & Uninor ko Airtel jaisi services dene me kam se kam 15 years aur chahiye…

And more important 2.2 millions are not actual customers. More than 60 % customers took uninor as a cash card. They will through it after using talk time :-)

Heard about LAND MAFIA! I THINK YES !
NOW NEW KIND OF MAFIA EVOLVED IN KARNATAKA……THEIR MAIN ACTIVITY IS MAKING PHONE CALLS TO VANITY NUMBER USERS(EX: 98866-66666,98800-00000,99000-00000,98456-98456,90600-00000 ETC ALL THESE NUMBERS ARE SOLD IN SUPER PREMIUM PRICES) from similar network connection and pretending as themselves as employees of mobile service operator and fetching details FROM CALLED PERSONS ABOUT THEIR(VANITY NUMBER USER’S) ADDRESS,LAST CURRENCY RECHARGED-ITS DATE AND TIME,AND SIM CARD SUBSCRIBER NAME).AFTER GETTING ALL THESE DETAILS THESE GOONS VISIT MOBILE SERVICE PROVIDER OUTLETS AND SWAPS THE NUMBER(gets duplicate sim card and gets it registered in their name after furnishing details of original subscriber without his knowledge).Later this goons sell these vanity number sim cards to unidentified persons from Rs.3000 to 10,000.

SIM card scam to be probed by CID
    Mysore, August 18, DHNS:

DG and IGP Dr Ajaikumar Singh on Wednesday categorically stated that the department would initiate action against those who indulge in Sim card scam.

Addressing a news conference here, he said some of the cases unearthed in Mysore have been referred to the CID and the matter is being probed thoroughly.

A meeting of all leading service providers was conducted in Bangalore and briefed them about the Sim card scam reported from major cities of the State.

It was also duty of dealers to issue Sim card to customers only collecting proper documents or otherwise action would be initiated against them.

Henceforth, both service providers and dealers should be careful while issuing the Sim cards. They have been advised to hold meetings in all districts to create awareness among masses.

Asked about movement of naxalites of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh taking in forests of Karnataka, the DGP said there has been movement of naxalites because of which the cops are on high alert. Fortunately, the police have curbed naxalism to a great extent in some districts. Although, the situation is not alarming but they have to be on their toes.

One of my friend owns a Uninor Dealership in Mysore….,to achieve sales target quota for a given period all the retails under his regional area prematurely activates thousands of sim cards in the name of customers who submit the CAF(customer application form) promptly while subscribing GSM services(remember new gsm users getting sms alert to resubmit CAF- that is the CAF this users submitted at purchase point doesnt reach Mobile company….,in fact it is misused to sell and activate sims at free of cost. Now Police has busted SIM CARD SCAM in MYSORE and has detained several distributors, dealers and retailers of idea cellular, vodafone, airtel, uninor, reliance gsm. THIS INCIDENT WAS ECHOED IN NATIONAL SECURITY MEETING IN NEW DELHI AS SERIOUS SECURITY LAPSE IN TELECOM INDUSTRY)…..and makes them vulnerable to security related problems. In real sense Uninor in Karnataka has 4,77,627(four lakh seventy seven thousand ACTIVE Prepaid USERS as of August 2010).SO ALWAYS TELECOM COMPANIES SHOWCASE DUMMY FACTS AND FIGURES TO PUBLIC AND IT IS DONE TO ENHANCE THEIR SHARE MARKET VALUE IN BSE AND NSE.

Uninor is quite good in Customer response and in solving the problem soon. but Airtel customer care service has become so bad. i think Airtel will definitely realize that after loosing the customers and after MNP i am sure about it

Ya ur rite, Uninor should keep on giving innovative & unique tariffs to its customers. Now as we can see a heavy dip in Airtel’s additions & also bad customer care response in AIrtel. many ppl are dissatisfied with Airtel. SO IT IS NOT ONLY TARIFF BUT ALSO THE CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE THAT MAKES AN OPERATOR AHEAD OF OTHERS & IN THIS CASE UNINOR IS FAR BETTER THAN OPERATORS LIKE IDEA & AIRTEL.

Good going Uninor…leaping ahead of other newcomers on the road to success. I m really pleased by its network n services inspite of it being a new entrant. Basically I feel that companies like these who’s core business is telecom will definately offer better services as they have the advantage of experience and handling technology. Also they are more focused as telecom is their main business. This is the reason why Hutch n Vodafone did so well in India. Best wishes for Uninor..!!
