Indian telecom has seen huge growth in last years, and it is changed in a way in the over-crowded market that voice calls are now a part of commodity. In spite of voice tariff hits rock bottom ARPU is not dipping heavily as users are spending for SMS & other VAS as well as for data. Data services are most important in current scenario not only for operators but also in the prospect of subscribers.
Here we at Telecomtalk is conducting a poll to check out how much our readers are spending for mobiles, it will give a better look into ARPU & other insights. It not only provides a data for our internal R&D but also feedback to all operators on 2G, 3G or 4G.Choose the right option of total spending including voice, sms, VAS & data on mobile(s).
What’s your average recharge for the month?
Do you use any rate/special voucher cutter to reduce your call rate?
Do share your views on comments below and share this poll with your friends which will help operators and tariff makers to understand the spending limit of Indian users which will help them to come up with a better customer friendly tariff plan in future.

Keshav Jha January 9, 2012 at 3:36 pm
My expenditure is rs 599 with Tata & Approx rs 100 with MTNL. Currently I have no expenditure in Data. In 599 plan with Tata, I get 30 min daily offnet calls which lapses if I don’t use on the same day. This is the worst part of this plan. Tata should provide !000 calls for 30 days for our ease. Because on some day I don’t want to call anybody while on someday I need more than 30 calls for other network. So please Tata change this restriction.

I have a Karbonn KC999 which is way better than any China Mobile in terms of software and hardware (CDMA + GSM +GSM)
6 months plan
CDMA – MTS – Rs 23.50/month gives me 30p/month(191 for 6 months) for Local/STD
GSM 1 – T24 (Primary) has a balance of Rs 400 from Diwali shopping at Big Bazaar
– Aircel (Backup) has Rs 30 balance and gives all Local calls at 30p/month (6 months) and gives Rs 30/month (3 month FUP)
– Idea (Backup) has Rs 20 balance and gives Rs 30/month (3 month FUP)
– Airtel has Rs 20 balance and gives Rs 30/month (3 month FUP)
GSM 2 – BSNL gives 200 sms/month for a year
Idea (Backup) 100sms/day with the 1st SMS charged at Rs 1
GPRS – Airtel is the Best in AP with Rs 250 for 8 GB
If more talktime is required then MTS can give STV 5 for 25 mins/day and if T24 has expired then Aircel will give STV 200 for 500 Mins/2 months or any other full talktime
Average Spent on Mobile = 23.50 + 30 (New SIM/3month) = 53.50 to Rs 100 for 3 months
For GPRS Airtel is preffered and the 3G hack is not working anymore using 2G data plan
MTS prepaid from ConnectIndia.in has a free dongle with Rs 999 for 12 GB/unlimited data is the best deal to my knowledge and has good connectivitty (I am not sure about roaming for which Reliance is preffered as they are the only provider to list the location where their tower is present)
Sayan Das January 8, 2012 at 10:23 pm

3. Vodafone – use only for 20p/min call rate,Rs.17 ,Rs47 for 1000 V2V night mins total=17+47+100(usage talktime)= Rs.164
