BSNL 5 New GPRS PackIn its continuous efforts to provide mobile service at affordable rates, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), India’s National Telecom Back Bone and the GSM mobile service operator of today announced the launch of  5 new Pan-India comprehensive BSNL GPRS Packs for its 2G Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers across India with an aim to redefine the way consumers perceive and use Internet on their mobiles! With a view to cater to specific data requirements, these packs go a long way in more than fulfilling the ever increasing demand for ‘connectivity on the move’.

Seamless Internet connectivity while on move-priced at affordable rates, the new BSNL GPRS Packs for prepaid and Postpaid subscribers across India include an attractive data packages for Rs. 54 and Rs.49 (prepaid-postpaid) with a 2 GB Night free download limit and 100 MB Day time free downloads with the validity of 30 days. One another unique Monthly Pack for Rs.108 and Rs.99 (prepaid-postpaid) also comes with Free 300 MB Data limit during the Day and free 4 GB Data limit during the Night.

Note – (1)BSNL’s all existing GPRS/EDGE postpaid plan with FMC of Rs.49 (Option-I) & “Nil” (Option-III) and prepaid data tariff/ STV-59 available with voice plan, will be withdrawn. The New GPRS  Plan/Packs 1 to 5 is effective from 25 Jan 2010 and the plan 1 to 4 is also applicable to 2G data card.

(2) The MRP in the price band upto Rs.3 (+/-) of above price considering the technical feasibility may be done at the circle level.

(3) The GPRS free data usage allowed is also applicable while in national roaming and Data usage charges beyond free usage will be same for Home LSA and roaming.
