Aircel Launches FaceBook on SMS Service

Social networking sites are lucrative medium for corporate or Brand owner to get people talking about products and generate interest. As a result India's fastest growing GSM mobile service operator Aircel once again join hands with FaceBook and announced the launch of new service FaceBook on SMS for its subscribers.

With this service Aircel prepaid and postpaid subscribers can track their Facebook account without the GPRS/Internet service like Update their status, make a comment, like-dislike, poke and lot more just by a simple SMS over short code 51555.




To Activate or use  the "Aircel FaceBook on SMS" service, subscribers need to Sign In on their FaceBook account from website and register for 'Mobile' in their "Account Settings" page by selecting ‘Aircel India’ as mobile service provider. After that they need to send one SMS ‘f’ to 51555 for conformation of Mobile number in reply they will get conformation code by SMS to activate the service. The Out going SMS over short code 51555 will be charged just at 50 paisa per SMS.

Aircel was the first mobile service  operator in India who launched "Voice SMS Service" on FaceBook.

Here's how:-

  • Sign in on Facebook and access your 'Account Settings'
  • Under the 'Mobile' tab, select 'Register for Facebook Text Messages'
  • Select 'Aircel India' as your mobile provider and send 'f' to 51555 via
  • SMS to confirm your number (SMS charges at 50 paisa)
    Enter the confirmation code received via SMS, and You're done!
