Telenor launches STV at Rs.28 offering 25p/min Local/STD calling in UP East circle

Telenor India the 7th largest telecom operator by subscriber base has now launched a new special tariff voucher (STV) priced at just Rs 28 in UP East circle. The company claims the STV to offer one of the lowest voice calling rates in the circle, in which their customers can enjoy calls to any number in India at just 25 paise per minute. The STV comes with a validity of 28 days.

Telenor customers can avail these offers at the nearest retail outlet selling Telenor and also at exclusive Telenor stores or by dialing USSD *222*7*28# from their number. The company said that they have positioned themselves as more than a telecom operator and their customers get more value on every transaction. Telenor has over 12.6 million subscribers in the UP East circle.

Announcing the new value for money product, KC Narendran, circle business head, UP East said, "Telenor is loved by customers for its affordable and value-for-money products and services. STV 28 would give customers the freedom to call their near and dear ones without getting worried about higher tariffs. This gives them the flexibility to do both local and STD calling at the most affordable tariff of 25 paise per minute, which is one of the lowest in the industry and in this market."

The company also said that it's over 6.5mn customers have already enrolled for free life insurance cover under insurance scheme Suraksha, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the telecom industry. The company recently rolled out night internet pack for uninterrupted and convenient data experience and avoid bill shocks by scheduling videos to be saved without having to stay up at night, said the company. Similarly, the tatkal credit offers emergency recharge credit facility for Telenor customers. By availing this product, Telenor subscribers can get a quick loan of Rs 5 in case their phone balance falls below Rs 1.50. The credit balance can be used as talktime, 10 local/STD minutes or 20 MB of data browsing.
