BSNL TO ROLL-OUT 3G IN KOLKATA BY THIS MONTH END,700 CITIES BY JUNE.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), is all set to launch its 3G operations in 700 cities across north and east India by June and in the south by July.The services would be launched in east and west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand and Assam.BSNL plans to cover over 700 cities in the next three months. BSNL CUTS LANDLINE, WLL CALL RATES BY 50%

BSNL has slashed its local and STD rates by 50 per cent allowing rural users to make calls at 40 paise per minute.The users will now able to call anywhere in India through fixed telephone at between Rs0.40 and Rs0.60 per minute. BSNL(Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) today launched India’s first wireless broadband service in Gujarat. BSNL on Sunday launched its third generation mobile services in the country from Chennai offering lots of goodies like live TV high speed mobile broadband movie downloads 3G services comes with  three monthly subscription options of Rs 350, Rs 650 and Rs 1,350 for prepaid subscribers.
