BSNL Revises Prepaid 2G and 3G Tariff Plans As Per TRAI’s New Regulation

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) the pan-India 3G mobile service provider has revised its prepaid tariff plans and STVs to implement the TRAI's new tariff regulation TELECOM CONSUMERS PROTECTION REGULATIONS- 2012. The revised tariff will be effective from 21st March 2012.

As per TRAI's TCPR-2012, all the service providers can offers only three type of prepaid vouchers - Plan Voucher; Top Up Voucher; and Special Tariff Vouchers. Plan voucher should not provide any monetary value and can be used to enroll customers into a tariff plan only. Top-Up vouchers should be used only for monetary value (talk time) in Rupees without any restrictions of usage validity in days. While STVs should be used for Plan/Tariff and tariff validity period (maximum 90 Days only).




According to our exclusive sources, BSNL will be the first telecom operator which is going to implements all above new guidelines for its prepaid 2G and 3G Mobile service by tomorrow i.e. 21st March, 2012.
