Sony has been rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop to only a select few devices but that doesn't mean that it has forgotten has some of its mid-range users. Sony has just announced the list of devices that will be getting the Android 5.1 Lollipop and has included some devices which didn't even get the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The company will commence the roll out for the update in July and users will require at least 1.2GB of free space being available on the internal storage of their devices. The update will take roughly 20 minutes of your time. The list of devices which will get the update are:
- Sony Xperia Z lineup (Xperia Z, Xperia Z1, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3)
- Sony Xperia Z Compact lineup (Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z3 Compact)
- Sony Xperia Tablet Z, Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet
- Sony Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Aqua
- Sony Xperia T2 Ultra
- Sony Xperia C3
The Xperia M2 and M2 Aqua didn't get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update initially but will skip straight away to the latest version of Android. The latest crop of smartphones from its stable will get updated too.
