S Tel the newly-launched GSM Mobile service revealed that it has signed up 1,41,411 GSM subscribers across three telecom circles during the first month of its operation. S Tel a telecom joint venture between Siva Group (formerly Sterling Infotech Group) and BMIC Limited, a subsidiary of Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco), had launched operations in Himachal Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar & Jharkhand in last month.
According to COAI December report, S Tel enrolls 16,327 GSM subscribers in Himachal Pradesh, 67,675 in Orissa and 57409 in Bihar telecom circle. S Tel has USA licenses for Himachal Pradesh, Orissa, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and North East telecom Circle.The Company also announced that first quarter of 2010, S Tel’s mobile services will be accessible to customers in Assam and North East circles.
