We have seen numerous images of the OnePlus 6 in the last couple of weeks, but most of them were renders. Popular Indian Actor Amitabh Bachchan who is currently associated with OnePlus has posted a couple of images of him holding the upcoming OnePlus 6 along with OnePlus CEO Pete Lau on Twitter. That said, the tweet has been removed now, but the images are already grabbed from his tweet. From what it appears to be, Pete Lau personally met the actor to reveal the smartphone and it seems like a public meeting. In the images, both white and black variants of the OnePlus 6 are revealed. Zooming in the pictures, it's evident that the black variant of the OnePlus 6 comes with a glass back, thanks to its reflective nature. However, it's unknown which materials OnePlus is using on the white version though.
These images are in-line with the earlier leaked OnePlus 6 renders. The rear cameras which are vertically positioned protrude a bit, meaning there will be a slight bump to the camera module. The fingerprint scanner is positioned below the rear camera, and it's an oval-shaped one, not the circular one as seen on the OnePlus 5T. The biometric sensor looks a lot like the one present on the Galaxy S8 and S9 devices.
Alongside these images, OnePlus is now teasing the super-slow-motion video recording on the OnePlus 6. The device may offer 960fps slow-mo video recording at 720p quality, but nothing is confirmed so far.
The OnePlus 6 will be announced on May 17 in India, but before that, it will be official in other countries on May 16. The smartphone packs a 6.28-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display on the front, and it will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform. The OnePlus 6 could be the first Snapdragon 845 SoC device to land in India. There will be two cameras at the back and a single front-facing camera. The smartphone will have a 3300mAh battery unit. The expected price of the smartphone is said to be Rs 36,999 for the base 6GB RAM and 64GB variant and Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB variant. The premium 8GB RAM and 256GB variant will cost as much as Rs 46,999 in the country.
