Nokia today launched its much awaited Nokia E7 the Smartphone for business users in Indian market for Rs.29999.
The all in one business phone E7 launched by Bollywood super star Shah Rukh Khan in presence of D Shivakumar, Vice President and Managing Director, Nokia India.
Running, Symbian^3 the Nokia E7 is similar to the last Nokia smartphone, the N8, with the most notable difference being the addition of a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
The E7 has a tilting 4” ClearBlack AMOLED touch screen, full QWERTY keyboard and support for business applications like Real-time business email with 'Mail for Exchange' from a range of enterprise technology partners including Microsoft and IBM.
Nokia E7 Smartphone features private and business email along with secure Intranet access with the built-in VPN, the ability to create, edit and share office documents and view PDF files with preloaded Adobe Reader; high-resolution photos and HD video with the 8 Mega pixel camera and dual LED flash; free, worldwide Maps with free GPS and voice guided navigation with Ovi Maps.
It also provides HDMI connectivity to project files, videos and images onto large screens; 16 GB of on-board flash memory plus USB on-the-go, enabling easy file sharing; multi-party conference calling to conduct business meetings; fully integrated social networks.
Keeping Indian consumers in mind, Nokia has introduced over 10,000 pieces of locally relevant content on the Ovi Store, optimized for the Nokia E7. This includes 3 business channels in a Web TV format – CNBC TV18, CNBC Awaaz and Bloomberg – that E7 consumers can download free of cost from the Ovi Store.
To drive the Nokia E7 consumers to enjoy this content, Nokia has tied up with Vodafone to offer 2GB data per month free for 6 months. The offer is applicable on 3G and 2G (for both pre-paid and post paid consumers). The consumers just have to insert Vodafone SIM to activate the offer.
