MTNL Crosses 1,00,000 3G Subscriber Mark in Mumbai Circle

India's first 3G mobile service operator and leading GSM Mobile service operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today announced that its has crossed the landmark of 1,00,000 3G subscribers in Mumbai telecom circle.

However In Delhi circle, MTNL already achieved the same in December 2009 and continues getting overwhelming response on its 3G Mobile service in both telecom circle.




Presently, MTNL has more than 4,00,000 (four lakh) 3G Mobile Service subscribers in Delhi and Mumbai circles out of 48 lakh GSM Dolphin/Trump subscribers. MTNL has announced that with in last some months it has enrolled huge 3G mobile service subscriber in Mumbai and Delhi circles.

The company is also targeting a four-fold jump in its 3G Mobile subscriber base to 6 lakh August 2010 through full fledged roll-out of its 3G UMTS network across all the corner of Mumbai and Delhi-NCR telecom circles.

By making 3G services affordable with lowest Voice call and Video call charges as well as high speed 3G wireless Broadband Data connectivity at 1 paisa for 10 KB which brings the 3,00,000 3G subscribers under MTNL umbrella. MTNL is the only service provider which offers 3G Mobile and Data services in Mumbai and Delhi telecom circles.
