Xiaomi is a company which has established its stronghold not only in the smartphone segment in the Indian market but also it has become a popular name in the smart TV sector as well because of the features it pushes in the affordable price range. The Mi TV 4 series has become very popular, and Xiaomi has made two series out of the fourth-generation Mi series, which are the Mi TV 4A and the Mi TV 4X, with the later now ruling the smart TV markets. Xiaomi is also putting a lot of emphasis on the larger screen sizes instead of, the lower side of the spectrum. On these lines, Xiaomi has today announced the Mi TV 4X 55-inch 2020 Edition. As per Xiaomi, its smart TV business has seen exponential growth since launching the thinnest TV in the world in February 2018. Mi TV has witnessed market leadership for five consecutive quarters, with a 32% market share as per IDC Worldwide Quarterly Smart Home Device Tracker, 2019 Q2 release.

Mi TV 4X 55-inch 2020 Edition

To recall, last year Xiaomi had launched the Mi TV 4X Pro which was one of the first Big TVs from Xiaomi. The Mi TV 4X 55-inch 2020 Edition comes with 4K 10-bit HDR display complemented by Xiaomi’s in-house image processing algorithm, Vivid Picture Engine. As per Xiaomi’s claims, this enables an immersive audiovisual experience with the help of the 20W speakers certified for Dolby Audio and DTS. The software experience is another important thing when it comes to smart TVs and on that front, the Mi TV 4X 55-inch 2020 Edition boots the Patchwall UI 2.0, which is based on Android 9 Pie. The users of the TV get native support for Netflix, Prime Video and Hotstar alongside 16 leading content partners and 7 live news channels across 7 languages. There are also other Google services as well like Google Assistant, YouTube, Chromecast, Data Saver and more.

The presence of the 10-bit colour makes sure that the output on the Mi TV 4X is better than its predecessors. Also, unlike a lot of the other Mi TVs, the sound output stands much better at 20W. The only difference that the users might note with the Mi TV 4X is the slightly bulkier design.

Airtel Digital TV Subscription For New Mi TV 4X Buyers

Another important thing to note here is the clubbed offer with Airtel Digital TV which the buyers of Mi TV 4X 55-inch 2020 Edition will get. The buyers will have the option of getting an Airtel Digital TV when they get this new TV. The attractive point of this offer will be the pricing of the subscription. Xiaomi has noted that the customers who buy this TV can get an Airtel Digital TV subscription for 4 months at Rs 1,800 as compared to the regular price of Rs 3,450. This will save the subscribers Rs 1,650 which they would have otherwise spent on getting an Airtel Digital TV subscription. It is also worth noting that Airtel Digital TV is the only DTH operator in the country which is offering a wide choice to subscribers for long-term DTH plans. The offer will be available for buyers who get the Mi TV 4X 55-inch 2020 Edition.
