
Reliance Jio, India's largest telecom operator, has launched a campaign to educate students and teachers on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in Punjab. The telecom operator has so far covered about 500 schools and colleges in the country. Jio has trained more than 5000 teachers and students on AI, said a statement from the company.

Jio is not only investing in building its own AI capabilities and services, but is also extending Google AI Pro subscription to several hundred million customers across India. Jio is offering prepaid customers free 18 months access to Jio AI Pro subscription.
In its sessions, Jio was teaching students and teachers on how they can use prompts and benefit by using AI tools like NotebookLM for various tasks such as coding, project ideation, writing assignments, preparing nottes, interview preparation, design, and more. This will save students and teachers time and energy in doing essential things.

Jio said, "This premium AI plan includes access to the latest Google Gemini 3 Pro model, advanced AI tools like Nano Banana Pro for AI-assisted image creation, Veo 3.1 for video generation, NotebookLM for academic research, and 2 TB cloud storage."
Jio has also a four week free online Jio AI Classroom programme. This will help the youth in the country to develop skills which are important to grow in the future.
