Infinix Hot 8 With 5000mAh Battery, Triple Cameras and Helio P22 Launched at Rs 6,999

Infinix Hot 8 is the latest entry-level smartphone from the house of Transsion Holdings sub-brand. The Infinix Hot 8 offers excellent features for the asking price of Rs 6,999. After the Realme C2 and Redmi 6, the Infinix Hot 8 becomes the third smartphone in the segment to offer the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset under Rs 7,000. Not only the cheapest is powerful, other specs of the handset include 5000mAh battery, triple rear cameras dedicated microSD card slot, gradient design and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is also present. However, Infinix stated the Rs 6,999 price tag is a limited one for the Hot 8 and it will be valid until October 31, 2019. Probably, the company is aiming for strong sales during the festive season which will kickstart later this month.




Infinix Hot 8: Specifications and Features

The Infinix Hot 8 offers excellent specifications on paper. The phone has a 6.52-inch HD+ display on the front with a teardrop notch and 90.3% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, we have the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset running the show, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Yes, you read it right. At Rs 6,999, the Infinix Hot 8 offers 4GB of RAM and a decent 64GB of internal storage. Additionally, there's a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion up to 256GB.

The phone offers gradient design on the rear side. As for the cameras, the Infinix Hot 8 has four of them in total- three on the back and one on the front. On the rear side, there's a primary 13MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture that works in tandem with two 2MP sensors. On the front, Infinix has added a single 8MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras offer Portrait mode and LED flash.

Connectivity options on the smartphone include Dual 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and a Micro USB port. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear side and it's capable of unlocking the phone in 0.3 seconds. Lastly, the Infinix Hot 8 is backed by a 5000mAh battery along with AI Smart Battery management to offer additional battery life.

Infinix Hot 8: Pricing and Availability

The Infinix Hot 8 will be exclusive to Flipkart in the Indian market and the temporary price of the smartphone is Rs 6,999. The phone comes in a single variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The price of the smartphone is Rs 6,999 until October 31, 2019, post which the company will increase or reduce the price. The phone comes in two colour options- Cosmic Purple and Quetzal Cyan. The first sale of the handset will be on September 12, at 12 PM on Flipkart.

Up until now, the Redmi 7A and Realme C2 are dominating the under Rs 7,000 price point in India, however, with the on-paper specs, the Infinix Hot 8 will surely become a new contender in the segment. In fact, no other company is offering a 5000mAh battery and 4GB of RAM under Rs 7,000 in the market right now.
