Idea Cellular Brings Kerala’s First Ever Video Calling ISD boothIdea cellular today inaugurated Kerala’s first Video Calling ISD booth in Malapuram Kerala.

Now people in Malapuram and adjoining areas can now visit Idea kiosk at IMT Mobile, Dubai Souk, behind Kottakkal bus stand, Kottakkal to make international Video calls to their loved ones.

Idea has come out with this novel idea of setting up ISD video calling booths wherein users can not only talk but see the person live in real-time. This will be a boon for such families who yearn to see their loved ones living abroad. The person receiving the call should be using a 3G handset on a 3G connection.

As a promotional offer ISD Video calling from the booth will be free on 21st, 22nd, & 23rd of Sep, 2011.

I agree with the above comments,but how many rural people have heard of 3G or know what it is?For the old people,whose sons/daughters work abroad they can get a glimpse of them with this as there is no need to buy a 3G phone,which can’t be afforded by them,so this video call booth is one time payment and can happily see their loved children!! now tell me isn’t good?

It is not telephone booth. It is 3G video call booth.

Airtel charges Rs.11 per minute for a voice call to Kuwait (Gulf country). I tried video call, Rs.20 per minute was charged !!!!!!. Better to continue video chat over broadband itself.
