After all the rumors and speculations, first Nokia-branded Android smartphone goes official in China. However, the saddest part is the smartphone won’t be coming to India nor any other market as it is exclusive to the Chinese market.
HMD Global, the parent company of Nokia, has a reason for being the smartphone exclusive to the Chinese market. The highlight of the Nokia 6 is its design as the phone looks stunning. Also, at the launch, the company claimed that it took 55 minutes for them to manufacture a single Nokia 6 unit and the materials used in this phone is the popular 6000 series aluminum, which was also employed in the Apple iPhone 6 series and everyone is still aware of the bending issue of the iPhone 6 Plus.
But, Nokia claims there won’t be any problems with the Nokia 6, though. Check out the specifications of the newly announced Nokia 6 below.
1) A 5.5-inch Full HD Display
The Nokia 6 is clearly a mid-range smartphone, and it comes with a 5.5-inch hybrid in-cell Full HD display. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology, and Nokia has added another layer of additional protection for better sunlight legibility.
2) Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC and 4GB of RAM
The Nokia 6 is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, aided with 4GB of RAM. The phone also comes with 64GB of internal storage with support for further expansion of storage up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.

3) 16MP Rear Camera and 8MP Selfie Camera
The Nokia 6 comes with a 16MP rear camera with a f/2.2 aperture and PDAF technology. We are pretty much interested to see how this Nokia 6 fares in the camera performance as Nokia previously has set themselves a place in the camera department. There is also an 8MP front-facing camera with a f/2.0 aperture.
4) Dolby ATMOS Technology Speakers
Interestingly enough, the Nokia 6 comes with two speakers with support for the industry standard Dolby ATMOS technology. That said, the phone will undoubtedly excel in its audio performance.
5) Android Nougat Out-of-the-box
In line with all the rumors, the Nokia 6 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. This entire package is backed with a 3000mAh battery and sadly, the company did not mention any support for fast charging support.
The Nokia 6 won’t be coming to India, but we are expecting the upcoming Nokia phones to reach Indian shores. The much-rumored Nokia D1C along with a couple of other flagship phones are due to be released at the MWC 2017.
What do you think of this move from Nokia to nor bring the phone to other markets? Will you support them? We certainly are disappointed with this move. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
