DoT diverted Rs. 33,682 crore from USO fund meant to provide telecom services in rural India

Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has revealed that the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has diverted Rs. 33,682 crore from Universal Service Obligation (USO) fund for other purposes during the tenure of 2002-2003 to 2013-2014. Reliance Jio raised a loan of Rs. 4800 crore to roll out 4G

Mukesh-Ambani owned Reliance Jio Infocomm, has raised a loan of $750 million, approximately Rs. 4800 crore to fund the goods and services from Samsung Electronics and Ace Technologies Corp, required to roll out the infrastructure necessary for RJIL.
