BSNL has unveiled three new plans today, although in some circles. The government-owned telecom operator has launched three new plans of Rs. 258, Rs. 378, and Rs. 548. For now, we can assure that these plans are available for Punjab and Gujarat BSNL users because they've listed on the official websites of both the circles.
That being said, the prices and benefits of these plans differ with the circle. The STV 259 plan gives Rs. 220 talk time, and 110 free on-net voice calls. This plan will be valid for 30 days, from the date of activation.
The Rs. 378 combo plan provides 4GB data per day with a restricted speed of 80 Kbps after the FUP. This plan also gives unlimited on-net calls and 30 minutes of off-net calls per day for 30 days. The data benefit is also valid for 30 days.
Lastly, the combo voucher of Rs. 548 gives 5GB data per day for 90 days. The speed will be restricted to 80 Kbps after 5GB FUP. That said, this plan doesn't offer any voice calling benefits.
In addition, the prices and benefits of these three plans differ with every circle. For example, the same plan of Rs. 258 plan costs Rs. 259 for Gujarat users, while the Rs. 378 plan costs Rs. 379. Also, the Rs. 548 plan gives 5GB data for Gujarat users, while BSNL Punjab users will receive only 4GB data per day. However, all the three plans offer same validity period in all circles where they're valid.
The Rs. 548 plan from BSNL is nicely poised between the Rs. 444 and Rs. 666 plan. The Rs. 444 Chaukka plan is already live in all the circles, and it provides 4GB data per day for 90 days. The Rs. 666 Sixer plan is offering 2GB data per day, and unlimited voice calls for 60 days. BSNL also has a BSNL Tripe Ace plan of Rs. 333, which gives 3GB data per day for 56 days (recently revised).
Furthermore, all the three new plans are launched as promotional plans, meaning they will be valid only for 90 days from the date of launch. After 90 days, BSNL will either modify the plan or completely remove them.
