BSNL To Launch 3G Services in Jammu and Kashmir By June

India's National Telecom backbone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) announced that it will launch much awaited 3G Mobile and Data services across Jammu and Kashmir Telecom Circle by June 2011.

Earlier in Jammu and Kashmir circle, BSNL has launched its 3G services  in Jammu City on Trail basis and after some security reasons the services was put on hold.




Riding on 3G, BSNL gives several options including High Speed Internet access with faster data downloading speed up to 3.6 Mbps, Video calls and also subscribers can enjoy Live Mobile TV & VoIP services on 3G Compatible mobile phone.

According to Mr R K Koul, CGMT, BSNL J&K  circle, " The equipment for 3G services including the real time video monitoring apparatus has been procured and installed in various cities in Jammu and Kashmir. We hope to kickoff  the much awaited commercial 3G service in J&K by June."

At present BSNL has 3G coverage in more than 750 cities across India. BSNL’s endeavors are focused on offering the latest technology and services at affordable cost to its customers.

The PSU has been instrumental in providing the high speed 3G data services to its customers and also keeping the market prices at affordable levels even for the common man 3G services are going to revolutionize the way we communicate and entertain ourselves.
