State run telecom operator, BSNL is all set to make yet another change for its tariff plans. But this time, the company is making the changes for the landline voice calling plans, which will offer double voice calls from August 1 on a pan-India basis.
A report from Keralatelecom claims that BSNL will nearly double free calls in all the existing general and special landline plans, including the economy and special plans. And that too at the same prices.
BSNL is making changes to the landline plans costing above Rs. 160 in every circle. BSNL's Rs. 160 landline plan will now give 160 free calls, as opposed to the previous 95 voice calls. Sadly, this plan offers voice calls to just BSNL network. The Rs. 180 landline plan will offer 180 free voice calls, whereas the Rs. 220 plan will offer 220 free voice calls.
The BSNL Economy voice plan of Rs. 355 will now provide 325 free voice calls and the BSNL Special Plan of Rs. 495 will give 500 voice calls. Both the BSNL Economy and Special plan offer free voice calls to any network.
As said earlier, these changes will take effect from August 1, 2017. BSNL is making several changes in recent times. That said, the landline plan changes will be applicable for Kerala circle.
BSNL recently revised its popular prepaid tariffs for some unknown reasons. Reliance Jio increased the tariff plan charges recently from Rs. 309 to Rs. 399, and BSNL is following the footsteps of Reliance Jio. The government-owned telecom operator also announced a new Pratibha plan for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh students, which gives unlimited calling to one BSNL number, 300 SMS and 3GB data. The SMS and data will be valid for 30 days, while the voice calling benefits stand for 280 days.
The BSNL Rs. 333 or Triple Ace plan used to provide 3GB data per month for 90 days. But the plan is revised to offer 2GB data per day for Kerala circle users, while other circle users will get the same 3GB data as earlier, but for 56 days.
And the STV 395 plan or the Nehla per Dehla plan now gives the same 2GB data per day, along with 1800 minutes of BSNL to other networks, and 3000 minutes of BSNL to BSNL calls. The benefits are now valid for 56 days for Kerala circle, and other circle users will get the same benefits for 60 days, down from the 71 days validity. Further, BSNL has withdrawn the BSNL Rs. 444 Chaukka plan in Kerala, while it’s offering the same plan in all other circles.
