BSNL Launches SMS Based STV Activation Facility in Karnataka

India's National telecom Backbone and 3G service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) introduces, SMS based STV Activation and Plan Migration facility for its GSM (2G/3G) Mobile service customers in Karnataka Telecom Circle.

Earlier the similar service was launched in Tamilanadu, Kerala, Bihar, West Bengal and some other telecom circles.




With the SMS based STV recharge or Activation of Voice/SMS STV or GPRS /3G Data Boosters through SMS, customer who has enough balance in their prepaid account can change their tariff plan or recharge with desired STVs or Boosters without going Retailer or BSNL outlets to get mobile recharged.

This service allows Extension of validity, Migration to new Plans, Boosters/STV facility. For Example if BSNL Prepaid customer wants to recharge with 1 Paisa SMS Plan which offer all Local and National SMS at 1p, can activate just by one simple sms STVSMS11 to 53733 (Toll Free). After sending the SMS Balance will reduced by Rs.9.97 and SMS Pack will be activated.

To use this service subscribers prepaid account Balance should be more than Rs. 20 plus the MRP of desired STVs as listed below.The specific keyword has to be sent as SMS to 53733.
