Bharti Airtel is no more the leading telecom operator in India, and Gopal Vittal, the CEO of the company, has already urged its employees to focus on adding new customers to regain the top spot. And as a first step towards the same, Airtel has rolled out three new prepaid plans today, priced at Rs 35, Rs 65 and Rs 95. In the press statement issued by the company, with these new plans, the telco is aiming to simplify its prepaid proposition along with attracting new prepaid users. The three new plans offer data, talk time, tariff and validity in the same pack at affordable price points.
The new packs have been designed on the basis of extensive research and feedback from customers, who highlighted the need for talk time, tariff and data built into one single pack instead of the need to do separate recharges, said Airtel in the statement.
Bharti Airtel Rs 35 Prepaid Plan Details
First on the list, we have the basic Rs 35 plan which gives a user Rs 26.66 talk time, and the voice calls will be charged at one paisa per second for local, STD and landline calls. As Airtel promised, the plan also provides a user 100MB of data, and the best part is the validity of 28 days.
Bharti Airtel Rs 65 Prepaid Plan Details
Next on the list, we have the Rs 65 prepaid plan which offers a user full talk time of Rs 65 and the voice calls will be charged at one paisa per second. Furthermore, users will be rewarded with 200MB of data with this plan. This plan is also valid for 28 days from the date of recharge.
Bharti Airtel Rs 95 Prepaid Plan Details
Lastly, we have the Rs 95 prepaid plan which also gives full talk time of Rs 95 and the calls will be charged at one paisa per two seconds. It offers 500MB of data and the validity of the plan is 28 days.
Bharti Airtel Rs 35, Rs 65, Rs 95 Plans Eligible Circles
Airtel announced that these plans would initially be valid in just three circles- Punjab, Tamil Nadu & UP West. But the telco gave an assurance that these plans will be launched in other parts of the country over the next few weeks.
Commenting on the launch Ajai Puri, COO – India & South Asia, Bharti Airtel said: “We are constantly listening to our customers and working towards improving their experience through exciting innovations and process re-engineering. These revolutionary prepaid packs are designed to truly simplify the customer experience and offer great value. All this will continue to be backed by world-class customer services on India’s best mobile network.”
The Future is Combo Plans, Even Under Rs 100
With this move, Airtel has countered incumbent telcos such as Vodafone Idea and BSNL. In the past, no telco offered a tariff plan with 28 days validity under Rs 100, but now, Airtel has a plethora of plans offering the same.
This new combo pack range will complement Airtel’s unlimited bundled recharge packs that offer unlimited calling, free national roaming, SMS and generous amounts of data benefits.
