Airtel Xstream Fiber Entry Level Wi-Fi Plans Detailed
Indian telecommunications company Bharti Airtel has been expanding its Wi-Fi services across the country to additional households, thereby bringing its high-speed internet service to new homes in multiple cities. Airtel has announced the expansion of its Wi-Fi services in Gujarat, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Haryana, West Bengal, and most recently in Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.

Airtel Wi-Fi Services Expansion

For the quarter ended June 30, 2024, Airtel highlighted that it had accelerated its Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) expansion, increasing its addressable market. In the Home Business segment, the company acquired 348,000 new customers during the quarter, reaching a total base of 8 million. Airtel said it has also expanded its home-pass network through its own and asset-light Local Cable Operator (LCO) partnerships.

As a result, Airtel Wi-Fi services, which include Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and FWA, are now available in 1,317 cities. Customers can check the availability of Airtel Wi-Fi services using Airtel's website or the Airtel Thanks app.

Airtel's Wi-Fi services include both fiber-based FTTH and wireless (FWA) options. Based on feasibility and customer requirements, Airtel now offers its Wi-Fi services in over 1,300 cities across India. As Airtel continues to expand its Wi-Fi services, if you have recently entered a coverage zone or are planning to switch to Airtel Wi-Fi (high-speed internet) services, Airtel offers around two plan variants in the entry-level segment. One variant caters to users who only need internet services, while the other includes bundled entertainment benefits.

Key Benefits of Airtel's Entry-Level Wi-Fi Plans

Let's now review the entry-level Airtel Wi-Fi plans available to users. All Airtel Fiber Xstream Wi-Fi plans include unlimited local and STD calls, unlimited internet, and access to various apps such as Xstream Premium, Apollo, and Wynk Music, depending on the plan selected.

Airtel Basic Wi-Fi Plan: Rs 499

The Airtel Basic Wi-Fi plan is priced at a monthly rental of Rs 499 and provides an internet speed of up to 40 Mbps, along with Airtel Thanks benefits. There are no additional benefits included with this plan. According to the company, this plan is ideal for a single user or a small family with limited internet-enabled devices.

Airtel Entertainment Wi-Fi Plan: Rs 599/699

With these entry-level entertainment plans, Airtel Wi-Fi customers can enjoy a range of entertainment options, including access to Disney+ Hotstar, over 20 OTT platforms, more than 350 (including HD) television channels, and high-speed wireless Wi-Fi service. Available in select regions, the Rs 599 and Rs 699 plans offer speeds of up to 30 Mbps and 40 Mbps, respectively. This means, based on your location, your entry-level plan can be either Rs 599 or Rs 699.

Availability and How to Book

Airtel offers a free router with any Wi-Fi plan. Installation charges are Rs 1,500 for a monthly plan, while installation is free for customers who choose a 6 or 12-month plan. You can confirm these details with the Airtel representative who will contact you to confirm your Wi-Fi request. Customers can book Airtel Wi-Fi by placing an order through the Airtel Thanks app or by calling 8130181301, according to Airtel.
