O2 has made significant progress in expanding its 5G network in Slovakia, with the service now available to more than two-thirds of the population. O2 Slovakia said its 5G network was already accessible to 69.3 percent of the population by the end of September. The operator mentioned it had covered 782 new locations since the beginning of the year, bringing the total number of O2 5G-enabled locations to 972 across cities and towns in Slovakia.

Increasing 5G Device Adoption
According to the company, the number of customers with 5G-enabled devices is also on the rise, with over 21 percent of O2 customers now using such devices as of September. O2 noted this as a significant increase from the beginning of the year.

O2's Commitment to Network Quality
"Network development is a priority for us at O2. Recently, we have focused not only on the construction of new transmitters but also on the thickening, setting and tuning of the already-built network. All this with the aim of bringing customers the best experience with our renewed network. We expect even more significant development of our networks from the network sharing project with our partner, which we announced in the summer of this year," said O2 Slovakia.

O2 noted that customers who wish to use its 5G network must be located in areas where the service is available and must have a 5G-enabled device. If customers need help choosing or setting up a 5G-enabled device, they can visit any O2 Store.
