As per a report by Digitimes, Apple might make use of bigger batteries for the upcoming models. Having said that, it is clear that the only thing that could happen to make use of a bigger battery cell is to minimize the additional space. It is believed that Apple will use smaller components to pave for a bigger battery as these will save space.

Apple Adopts IPD

Reportedly, it is claimed that Apple has increased the IPD (Integrated Passive Devices) adoption for the peripherals that will occupy less space in the upcoming models. These peripherals will be smaller in size as compared to the ones used in the previous generation models.

Apparently, with the surge in the adoption of IPDs, the chip manufacturing partners such as Amkor and TSMC are likely to get solid business opportunities. Not only iPhones but also iPads and MacBooks will get this new enhanced battery segment,

Besides these, the Cupertino tech giant approved TSMC’s sixth-generation chips for mass production. Notably, the chips will be used in the upcoming iPhones to saved space coaling the report.
