Starting today, Bharti Airtel’s home broadband customers can get 5GB additional data on their Airtel Postpaid connection as part of it’s “myHome Rewards’ programme. Under this new offer, Airtel customers with an active Airtel Home Broadband and Airtel Postpaid connection can head over to My Airtel app and claim the extra 5GB data. This 5GB data will be credited to the customer’s Airtel postpaid account. Customers need to claim the data manually every month. Also, it’ still unknown on how many months will Airtel offer this free 5GB data. The additional data benefit will be applied on top of the existing postpaid plan benefit of the customer. This offer is already live and customers can see a banner in My Airtel application.

Under ‘myHome Rewards’, Airtel home broadband customers enjoy an additional data of 10GB for free on their home broadband for every Airtel postpaid and Airtel digital TV connection that they link to their Airtel home broadband account.

To check the plans on which the new 5GB free mobile data is available, customers can log on to Airtel Broadband portal. Airtel already has attractive broadband plans under its belt, and for customers who’re looking to take a new connection, Airtel is offering up to 1000GB free data. The company recently introduced Data Carry Forward feature for broadband users as well.

One sad part is that this additional data is not eligible for Airtel data rollover scheme, meaning it will expire every billing cycle. However, the good part is that every member in the family can claim this offer. (Example:- Customer X has a broadband connection and 4 postpaid numbers. One of the postpaid member claimed this 5GB offer in a month and he doesn’t want to utilize this offer next month. In that case, any of the other 3 members can still claim this offer). This is very convenient from a customer perspective hence this is a customer-centric approach. Airtel also has some attractive postpaid plans under its belt. The Airtel myPlan Infinity Postpaid plans start at Rs 399 and goes all the way up to Rs 2,999. Airtel customers with any Airtel postpaid plan are eligible for the offer.

Airtel currently has over 2.1 million broadband customers and is the second largest ISP in the country. Coming to the mobile subscribers, it is the leading telecom operator with over 280 million customers under its belt. All these days, Airtel is offering a slew of plans for prepaid plans and this offer will keep the postpaid users cheered up, but sadly, it’s applicable only to a few users.
