BSNL Now Offers 6 Times More Data on Existing Postpaid Plans in India

In a bid to counter competition and increase user base, state-run telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will start offering up to six times more data on existing postpaid plans from July 1, 2017, on a pan-India basis.

“We are committed to providing affordable and efficient services to all segment of our loyal mobile customers. We offer ‘value for the money’ plans to our customers considering the present trend of Indian telecom industry,” R.K.Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL Board said in a statement.

BSNL said that its customers on Rs. 99 plan would get 250MB instead of no data. Similarly, postpaid customers on Rs. 225 plan will now get 1GB instead of 200MB. The telco said that customers on Rs. 325 plan will get 2GB instead of 250MB.

BSNL’s postpaid customers on Rs. 525 plan will now get 3GB instead of 500 MB, while postpaid customers on Rs 725 plan will get 5GB instead of 1GB, and customers on Rs 799 plan will now get 10 GB instead of 3GB.

The telecom operator said that its postpaid customers with Plan 799 would also get unlimited voice calls, in addition to 10GB data, and customers with Plan 525 will get a talk value of Rs. 450, in addition to 3GB data.

The telecom operator has been bringing out new offers for its prepaid user base in the country. It recently launched “BSNL SIXER” – “666”, to offer unlimited voice with 2GB data per day under prepaid mobile services.
