To simplify the payments process, Bharti Airtel has added Paytm wallet on My Airtel app. The customers can pay bills & recharge phones through PayTM wallet. In the last few months, Airtel updated its app with some important features to easy up managing accounts on the app. With the new update to My Airtel android app, Airtel customers can now pay their bills or recharge their mobile/DTH connection through Paytm wallet also. Besides, one can also pay through main balance or Airtel money.
In the settings menu any My Airtel user can easily link his Paytm account by submitting Paytm wallet number and confirming with OTP.
With this feature, Airtel has become the first operator to allow third party wallet integration into their self care app. Cellular operators like Idea & Vodafone, who also have semi-closed wallet services, don't allow payments through third party wallets. Paytm being the largest mobile wallet in the Indian market, customers of Airtel & PayTM would get benefited by the move.
Also, the company has added support to check Smatbytes balance for postpaid users by using the the app which wasn't available earlier.
