This is the biggest lie as my calling facility was barred and my sim disconnected without refund of my deposit with the inadequate reasoning that there was high usage and the following conditions were not adhered which Tata Docomo did not have in their terms and conditions at the time of activation on 13 September 2012
1. minimum 15 minutes incoming calls in the week had to be received
2. 95% of outgoing calls from one cell site continuously for a week

Pratap, just recharge for 246 and then 4 (do it online by logging with your phone # and pass) witn your tata docomo mobile and check the balance by pressing *111*1#. it will show 1028mb data. You can now insert that docomo sim in ipad. Let me know if this works.

Sanjay I am a postpaid customer of Idea Maharashtra Circle currently idea doesnt charge me raoming in Mumbai circle and allow me to carry home tariffs in mumbai circle.I am planning to port to tata docomo. This unlimited calling plan of tata docomo is really interesting but i want to know that if docomo will allow me home tariffs in mumbai also.I mean i will be able to make unlimited calls from mumbai circle also or only from maharahstra. Kindly let me know the information for the same.
Deepak July 27, 2012 at 11:53 pm
If you are planning to make any ISD call be sure to have 1500 rs or Rs 2000 (depending on Agent that you get connected to)as advance for TATA Docomo just for activating it.This is more than total bill that we are supposed to pay them.They are making money like that.
kishor July 24, 2012 at 12:41 pm
NO RANGE… NO INCOMING CALL.. SO I AM SATSFIED WITH TATA DOCOMMO
Pratap Madgulkar July 23, 2012 at 12:13 pm
tata docomo offers , 246 recharge with 219 talktime .
and then u recharge Rs4 for 1 GB 3G internet , i done 1st 246 recharge and now while doing recharge Rs.4 it is showing me .. following stuff
“Sorry,the selected option is not applicable for your number. We have other exciting offers belonging to your region.Browse below and enjoy them.”
Same with BSNL i tried on my IPAD 250 /- for 1 GB recharge they told it needs 750 recharge for IPAD micro 3G ?
what the hell is going on in telecom circle … where should we need to talk ?
bharathkumara July 17, 2012 at 1:39 pm
start working towards the one nation, one spectum, for only 2G, docomo is just a bit small in covering the towns… they even not tried to cover the rural, in some part of the country.. docomo need to work, still.. even.. some part of country.. their is no network, go and check the india telecom seniority,, then i will appreciate it.. because only they are making money, even some companies are not trying to give best quality servies
the great vinayagam July 16, 2012 at 9:28 pm
Docomo is the best ! i am from a rural area where airtel fails to cover. i am getting full signal. I too faced issue once upon a time. But now it is great ! a guy talking more than 23 hours a day will get a benefit and a guy who loves to talk with friends on conference.
And it will be very useful for guys who are having girl friends in different networks. Pay per second, Cheapest data and again a revolution with Unlimited.
Even a voice call costed Rs.2.40 when lifetime packs are launched.
this isnt final. Just a beginning. Lets see what other operators do. @bharathkumara
Kanaga Deepan N July 16, 2012 at 12:09 am
@Sanjay Bafna ji, the FREE SMS part is also NOT true (except Karnataka ofcourse), afaik..
Lol July 15, 2012 at 12:52 am
@Network Researcher
BSNL for the win man… +1
dskushwaha July 14, 2012 at 6:28 pm
Earlier TATA CDMA had prepaid Rs. 500 plan (TATA to TATA unlimited) and Rs. 600 plan (TATA to TATA unlimited + 30 minutes daily and 1 hour on Sunday free to other networks). They were too good for everybody who wants unlimited talks.
But this plan really sucks
dskushwaha July 14, 2012 at 6:24 pm
@Kanaga Deepan N
Yes you are right..
Now I can’t understand who will pay for this plan??
BSNL is having much better network and providing unlimited calls to BSNl network @ just 500 Rs. and nobody wants to talk unlimited on more than 1 or 2 mobile no. so just for the shake of unlimited call to any network only who will pay more than Rs. 1000?
Lovegin July 14, 2012 at 4:55 pm
its really breathtaking plan. Is it available in postpaid scheme?
Sudhakar July 14, 2012 at 6:19 am
KAnaga Deepan and all :
This Rs.899 (+tax) pack does not provide free (any) calls while roaming. While roaming, all calls are charged at Rs.0.01 per second.
In Tamilnadu this docomo has tieup with Aircel network which is has somewhat strong coverage. Are the outgoing calls free if logged into AIRCEL Tamilnadu using the docomo Tamilnadu postpaid SIM with plan 899?. Just asked.
Kanaga Deepan N July 14, 2012 at 2:19 am
@Sanjay Bafna
Now TataDocomo website says this plan has NO FREE SMS and NO FREE ROAMING CALLS (in all circles except KARNATAKA)….
Further I went to TN-Docomo office and confirmed the same (NO FREE SMS and NO FREE ROAMING calls)….
Please update with the correct infos, as soon as possible…
Thanks…
stylo July 14, 2012 at 1:21 am
this kind of any plan is not mentioned anywhere on their website???
sajjad July 14, 2012 at 12:18 am
@ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR
I was docomo customer now from last month I port in idea. coz of network quality n coverage. s I know only r may be docomo has all voice n data packages were lowest. but coverages n clear quality is matter in voice n data speed does matter.
I m using Samsung duos android.
one for voice.
two for data. (using idea frc151 3g with 2.5gb first month. 250mb second n 250mb third month) n I Will change sim for the frc offers by any network.:-)
Abhinav July 13, 2012 at 10:54 pm
Is this plan working in Delhi on TATA Indicom CDMA network?
dskushwaha July 13, 2012 at 8:45 pm
Yes too much considering their network. Many a times one will remain in the partner network of docomo and will continue to be charged.
bharathkumara July 13, 2012 at 7:08 pm
arjun how r u man
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR July 13, 2012 at 7:03 pm
@Spiderman
Yes Aircel is Somewhat better than DOCOMO and UNINOR But Poor Than The Major Telecom Operators
Spiderman July 13, 2012 at 6:54 pm
@Network Researcher
I’m using Aircel in karnataka.. Found to be better in tariff,offers,3G !
In Bangalore I haven’t faced any network problem.. But we can’t use Aircel & docomo while travelling in train & less coverage in Kerala as far as I know..!
I hate aircel in the following matters
1) Coverage issue
2) No Roaming sms packs
3) No option to track balance deductions using their website
4) Too many tele marketing calls (I know DnD, but not willing to activate it)
5) Their advertisement before call connecting
6) Poor customer care executives
Only this much remembering now..
Sticking with Aircel only because 3g plans !!
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR July 13, 2012 at 6:53 pm
@bharathkumara
Yes You Need to Use IDEA / VODAFONE / BSNL or Sometimes Airtel / Reliance Coz, They are Having Better Connectivity in Rural Areas. I’m deciding to port out from Aircel Coz of it’s Poor Coverage (Coverage is almost good in Kolar district) but in Entire Karnataka it is Very poor in Rural Areas
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR July 13, 2012 at 6:43 pm
I think he’s only a Fool Without Knowing The Status of Telecom Status He is saying Yuck, This Will Create a Weird Thing for the Telecom Professionals Like you. Don’t worry he’ll have to learn a lot. coz I’ve also used Docomo and Squashed DOCOMO sim Card Because of it’s worst Coverage
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR July 13, 2012 at 6:38 pm
@bharathkumara
Yes Your Statement is Right, Even DOCOMO is worst in the Rural Areas located Nearby My Hometown(KOLAR), No Signal Near Powergrid Station, Chikkaballapura road, Chintamani Road
sachin July 13, 2012 at 6:25 pm
Too costly campare to their ntwork and own network. Docomo dnt hve their ntwork in whole india. Well waiting for roaming free india. Does anyone knows the date???
bharathkumara July 13, 2012 at 6:25 pm
please stop.. every body need network in rural and as it in urban, can u tell me, docomo still need to cover in rural, please even go and check with u r docomo, i am even today i am using docomo, i cant even get the single signal in rurals, i am already bored, when i went for work, sorry, i know how many companies have network all over karnataka, in rural to.. even we cant get signals in rural to.. sorry but, u r researcher, u r just name sake i think, but need to search on every company, how they are working on their network, even today all over karnataka, u need idea, airtel, bsnl, vodofone or sometime reliance, i lost a job from DOCOMO, because we cant able to use docomo to work with in rural, i lost almost 3 jobs, because of this.. think and replay to everyone.
Network Researcher July 13, 2012 at 6:04 pm
@Vikash Come to Karnataka or Andhra or South India whereever you want I will show you the Tata Docomo Own Network. Compare to Other Networks Docomo and Aircel are having Cheapest Plans. I agree aircel is having some network issues but Docomo is good network in South India.
@Spiderman In which category you didnt find it is cheaper. In GPRS, SMS, Call rates and in roaming too docomo is having cheapest rates compare to all networks. By the way which network you are using???
Keshav Jha July 13, 2012 at 5:55 pm
Superb plan but not for me. I can’t talk so much. Please launch unlimited onnet STD plan. TATA’s drawback is that they not only provide onnet plans but they increase the tariff for offnet plans also in that stv. That’s a bad thing. They should keep offnet tariff untouched in onnet plans.
vikash July 13, 2012 at 5:19 pm
roaming free on own network!!!, Where is docomo’s own network???
Spurav pal July 13, 2012 at 5:12 pm
SO MONTHLY 899+120(FOR TAX)=1019 FOR THE TATA DOCOMO GSM NET WORK IS TOOOOO MUCH JOCKERY …..WORST NET WORK..
sri July 13, 2012 at 5:06 pm
Not new, it is there already, I too in the same plan
Spiderman July 13, 2012 at 5:05 pm
Its worth for marketing teams,telecallers or heavy users !
If this was available for around 500 Rs, I will surely bought it ..
Docomo kindly include atleast 2 GB 3g data pack too in this offer & launch the same STV in prepaid segment too.. Then we will agree docomo s cheaper & I’ll port to docomo..
