They reduced the prices first to gain customers, and now when they really have a lot of new customers, then they are removing their plans.

This happened to me with Tata Docomo, at the time 3G still costed Rs.500 for 1GB, that time 2G was only affordable enough to be bought.

At that time, Docomo offered 2GB 2G data at just Rs. 65, but after a year, they started hiking their prices to 65 for 1GB, then Rs. 95 for 1GB with 30 days validity.

Now they offer 1GB 2G data for Rs 95 with validity for just 21 days, that is not even a month.

On the other hand, the prices of 3G are coming down, and we just pay a little less than 3G users, but we have no other option because we are stuck with 2G phones which don’t support 3G.

    Hello I Avishek from Kolkata,
Reliance introduce this new pack on 02/12/2013. But I had recharge my number with Rs 123, 1 GB data pack on 25/11/2013. But on 2nd December they had deducted my whole data balance to zero, without showing any proper reason. Already generate a service request but they closed that service request without providing any resolution. Any suggestion..

Write them a mail rather than calling to their stupid illiterate customer care…
I also didn’t get the whole 3G Data when i recharged my mobile with RC 123. But soon after mailing them i got 1.5GB 3G data irrespective of 500MB remaining Data.
For future purpose also please write mail to them because they respond more quickly and efficiently in this mode of communication.

Hello Manish, thanks for the reply, I have already written a mail to them, and in reply to that mail they give us one service request number, but they closed it on the next day by sending me a mail like this “Dear Reliance Customer As per your SR 213104980 has been resolved. Rs 64 has been posted for wrong charging rest deduction is correct.” – I do not know what is the meaning of this. So replied to that mail again for clarification.

Its better the shut down their company ,Because such a worst network no USSD works properly ,voice always cracks in full network complained more that 20 times in pgportal but the best solution they give “Change ur handset its ur handset problem” ok i appreciate the thinking of tomfoolery Reliance care but its my secondary no ,primary no is airtel and airtel is best ..Most of the time Reliance 3G speed <= airtel 2G speed ..voice plans are costlier then airtel now 28 Rs provides 1.6p/2sec for 25 days where as in airtel 1.6p/2sec for 28 days @ 21 RS..the worst is that while calling in reliance it takes a lot of beeps after connected no voice or voice always breaks ,so reliance just go to hell ..Airtel is best …Missing airtel 3G here

A simple trick to get 2GB+ 100MB Data at Rs 157 in Aircel.
First recharge with Rs 23, u will get 100 MB 2G/3G Data with 30 days validity. Then Recharge with Rs 67 twice. You will get 1GB data each time, u recharge with Rs 67.
Actually the 67 pack gives 1GB Data with 7 days validity. But as u have recharged with Rs 23 earlier, the data will remain for 30 days.
BTW I am from WB circle.

Reliance provides 1.5GB EVDO Rev.A data for Rs.94 and provides the same 1.5GB data on HSPA+ network for Rs.246 which is more than double the price at nearly comparable speeds, this shows the difference between the popularity of CDMA and GSM platforms.

Due to Reliance move of providing 3G @ 2G rates, BSNL and Aircel did the same. Also Reliance 3G is still cheaper than 3G and 2G from AVoId.

I had seen this coming right from the time that reliance had slashed the 3G data tariffs to 50% and I had even pointed out how behind the scenes they had hiked the higher denomination pack tariffs and discontinued the long term data packs. Here is a link to the TT article I wrote at that time which was criticized by many who were blinded by the shine of Reliance and its nobleness

    AVoId 2G tariff = Reliance 3G tariff.

So when ever AVoId hikes 2G tariff, Reliance will Hike 3G tariff.

Still good but it should be applicable for USB Dongle also. BSNL is best in this matter because it has no restriction for devices.
Why MTNL is silent on 3G rates? MTNL is forcing me to port out to Reliance. Currently I’m using MTNL (My main no.) for default 1p/s tariff & good coverage and Reliance for 3G data but i don’t like to use one separate connection for data only or changing SIM every time. I want a smartphone with my main no. having good call tariff & data tariff.
