The Essar group-owned The Mobile Store (TMS), is in talks to buy international calling card company Matrix Cellular Services (MCS), as it looks to spread its wings into a new and fast-growing business area to boost revenues .
The acquisition of Matrix, which provides country specific mobile SIM and data cards to international travellers and is a market leader in the calling card space, could enable the Mumbai-based Ruia gruop (Essar) owned TMS to use its 1,290+store network to enter an altogether new business segment.

If they end up buying Matrix first thing they should take care of is the way their customer service is organised
