Idea Cellular is on a robust expansion plan for its 3G services. Now the company is in talks with other operators holding 3G spectrum in other circle where Idea doesn’t have 3G licenses.
The company has recently tied up with several other mobile operators through an Intra Circle Roaming Agreement to provide 3G services under its banner to its customers.
Airtel & Vodafone are the two major operators Idea has tied up to provide 3G services in major states and cities in India. In Tamil Nadu its has tied up with Vodafone. In Bihar and Jharkhand the company promises to provide service with Airtel.
All Idea customers need to manually select either Airtel or Vodafone 3G network in their own respective circle to enjoy Idea 3G services.

Wrong information here. Idea owns 3G license in Maharashtra and it has been shown in organge indicating sharing with Vodafone and Airtel.
