MTS, CDMA Mobile service operator with over 13 million wireless customers today announced the market roll out of fixed wireless service (with 10 Digit number) dubbed as MTalky in India.
This latest roll out aims to provide “Home Phone” with unmatched coverage and voice clarity at affordable prices. MTS India’s MTalky Fixed Wireless phone (FWP) comes for Rs.1200 offering a host of value-added benefits like freedom of mobility within the premises, high speed Internet access, in-built speaker, CLIP, missed call details, etc.
MTS has introduced a single rate plan which will be applicable to all potential ‘MTalky’ customers across its all circles. Customer can recharge of Rs.495 and will get FREE 150 Minutes on net Daily valid up-to Jan 2037. The operator said that it will be a best option for any land line phone because if any subscriber recharge with annual recharge he/ she will get 100 talk time 1/2 paisa calling with 365 days tariff validity.
The launch of MTS ‘MTalky’ is backed by market research, which indicates that FWP has easily substituted the land line as the `shared’ family phone, creating more dependence, through personalization tools, which will help spur more use of the product within homes and enterprises segments.
Thanks Gavin Mathos !

Still if some courageous want to test MTS, PLease tell them to come to your house/office and check for signal strength allaround the area of your home.
But still as happened with us coverage becomes bad later, nothing can be done. When we first took MTS coverage was ok. Now too bad & in some areas call gets disconnected in 2 or 3minutes. Then what use for free usage?

Mts dont care for voice customers. Now u coming with fixed wirelss. What a joke?. Atleast in mobiles we can get coverage when traveling near to few towers they have. What will happen to fixed wirelss customers.
Only in town limits u have coverage. Even in national highways thrissur Kochi root bad coverage. tower distances huge & Tower got No required height. Even in NH u have bad coverage & now u going for data.
Please put some of that money for Ads to survey your coverage in Thrissur Kochi root.

Great Move By MTS!!!!It should give good FWP-SETS and affordable tariff so that it will be the leader…I’ve no doubt that with its aggressive data segment roll out plus FWP and Mobile @ Affordable to all Indian backed by Superior coverage/Technology/Support/Service its clear to me that MTS is INDIA’s CDMA’s only Hope does any GSM-operator can give at-least 100mins free to their n/w for 25 year no they won’t unlike CDMA can and its always known that CDMA is far better than GSM except handset availability….Qualcomm Do something about it…GUD LUK to MTS INDIA!!!!!!!!!

Is it 8 Digit no. or 10 Digit no.
raja November 1, 2011 at 3:45 pm
these are totally waste of money as i have one from tata indicom, battery is totlly worst, internet speed is no better then gprs so why paying for this ?? they call it mobility what it means….if we want mobility then cell phone is here, and landline from bsnl has its advantage like we can use broadband on it by installing a DSL modem. i know bsnl is WORSE COMPANY but these products are too worst from the other pvt players.
