You are right. Those responsible for bringing out tariffs that have no scope for substantial revenue generation should be taken to task. Many players resort to gimmicks like on jan. recharge equal amount corresponding to year, Republic day anniversary, etc. etc. They should instead come out with FULL TALKTIME tariffs of 100 or less denomination, so that users will recharge frequently. e.g. in Mumbai Reliance : 59; Airtel 44, 88, etc. Unfortunately the babus are less concerned. However the recent circular recommending transfer of responsible officers who does not care revenue generation to far flung areas will have some bearing, we can hope ! !

BSNL directors in all the 22 territorial circles have been instructed to mop up monthly revenues by 25%, failing which strict action will be taken against them. “If any any circle fails to achieve the revenue target, they will be transferred out on large>>> This is the reason only they want to make money by any means as early as through such offers but don’t think that now a days customers are very intelligent.Old days gone.

BSNL was good but after MNP launch, instead of improving it is becoming worst day by day. They have withdrawn all good plans, hiked tariff and introducing useless plans.

I was great supporter of BSNL but now I am thinking of leaving it because of its customer looting policies like private operators.

Bekaar offfer…….no one will go for Rs.786 recharge. BSNL is going to loose customers this festive season if it doesn’t bring customer friendly offers.
