BSNL Launches Pan India ‘Women Empowerment’ Scheme

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, in a unique step of women empowerment,  launched the product sale through Women Retailers, Direct Selling Agents and Women Rural Distributors.

According to Mr. R.K.Upadhyay, Chairman and Managing Director, BSNL " under the new scheme, we will appoint Women Direct Selling Agents,  Women Rural Distributor or Women Retailers.

This unique scheme covers remote, urban and rural segment of the society on Pan India basis where small entrepreneur or unemployed women can become a part of the distribution channel for BSNL products and services which will help them increase their income and financial wellness."

"Besides empowering women through additional income stream, this scheme will also improve  the reach of BSNL products, which will now be available at the door steps of subscribers" he added.

BSNL believes economic empowerment of women is a great building block in social development.
